Date: June 8, 2020
Dartmouth Ocean Technologies (DOT) is pleased to announce the recent successful delivery of ten V-Wing 600s to an international client, EdgeTech located in West Wareham, Massachusetts. EdgeTech has been using our V-Wing depressor to pair with their side scan sonars for many years. The highly stable V-Wing is an excellent platform for systems such as EdgeTech’s side scan sonar. This order was personally delivered by Roger Race, director of innovation for DOT. This is the seventh year that Mr. Race has been personally delivering these V-Wings to EdgeTech. Mr. Race’s mission is to make sure that every customer is pleased with the quality of our product.
“I am pleased to be back delivering wings to one of my favorite customers, EdgeTech. In these uncertain times, one cannot take good-will for granted,” Mr. Race said. “Each order must be earned.”
The V-Wing is a towed stable depressor that can be used to keep a payload at a constant depth for a given cable length and vessel speed. DOT can provide a variety of standard sizes to fit most towing applications. We are always delighted to work with customers to customize one of our V-Wings for their individual needs. The bright yellow, fiberglass V-Wing has been in the marketplace for many years. It is a tried and true solution to many oceanographic needs. Our wings have been used in every ocean on the planet as well as in lakes, rivers, and streams.
